Final Dividend
ETI has announced the payment of a final dividend of 0.4 US cents per share.
Qualifying Date
All shareholders registered in the books of ETI on Monday, July 2, 2012 will qualify for the final dividend.
Closure of Register
The Register of shareholders will be closed on Monday, July 2, 2012.
Ex-Dividend Date
In view of the foregoing, the ex-dividend date has been set as Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Consequently, an investor purchasing ETI shares before this date will be entitled to the final dividend. However, an investor buying ETI shares on or after Wednesday, June 27, 2012 will not be entitled to the final dividend.
Dividend payment date
The final dividend will be paid on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. The following arrangements will be in place for the payment of the dividend;
i) Shareholders who have dematerialized their shares and have opened a share account with EDC Investment Corporation (EDC UEMOA) for the management of their shares, you may collect your share statement at the Ecobank subsidiary of your country of residence. This statement will allow you to cash your dividend at any Ecobank counter or have it transferred into your account.
ii) Shareholders who have their shares dematerialized or managed by a broker other than EDC UEMOA, their dividend will be paid directly into their accounts opened with their brokers.
iii) Shareholders who have not yet dematerialized their shares, their dividend warrants will be sent to their registered address by the share registrars.
The dividend warrants can be cashed directly at any Ecobank counter.
