1. PR. 042/2011 UNIL-APPOINTMENT OF A DIRECTOR UNIL has announced that Ms. Maidle Elizabeth Arkutu has been appointed as Executive Director of the company with responsibilities for Brand Building. The appointment takes effect from February 4, 2011.
Miss Arkutu joins Unilever Ghana from Cocoa-Cola East and Central Africa Business Unit (ECABU) where she was Marketing Manager for the Horn, Islands and Mid Africa (HIMA) team. In that role, she headed the franchise marketing team of eleven (11) French speaking countries, including DRC, Mauritius and Madagascar. After three (3) years in the role, she joined ECABU’s Stills team as the Project Manager for Project Nurture, a unique project seeking to double the fruit income of fifty four thousand (54,000) farmers in Kenya and Uganda and also supplying Cocoa-Cola with locally sourced puree for juice production.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Miss Arkutu worked for over ten (10) years in Unilever in Ghana, South Africa and French West Africa and has extensive experience both in Brand Building and Brand Development.
A professional Marketer, Miss Arkutu has a post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (U.K. Board). She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and French from Vesalius College, Belgium.

Mr. Stephen C. Gannon is the Managing Director of Guinness Cameroun Hub and has held this position since April 2009. He has over 11 years experience in the beverage industry and has worked in several senior positions with Diageo's operations in Africa and Europe. He has a BSC in Biochemistry from Brunel University and also attended Henley Management College. He was appointed to the Board of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited on February 2, 2011.
Mr. Zooullis Mina is the Financial Director for Heineken Africa and Middle East and has held this position since 2008. He has over 22 years experience in the beverage industry and has held several senior positions in Heineken's operations in Europe including Russia and Hungary. He is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Accounting both from the University of Witwatersrand Johannesburg. He was appointed to the Board of Guinness Ghana Breweries limited on February 2, 2011.
